- Bringing young chemists together in a relaxed environment.

- Manchester Metropolitan University generously played host to the event.

- YMS 2010 attracted over 120 young chemists from a variety of disciplines and nations.

- Thanks to many generous sponsors, including RSC, Bruker, Chemicals Northwest, AstraZeneca & SCI.

- Poster presentations were central to the symposium.

- YMS 2010 allowed young chemists to form networks with their peers, hopefully resulting in the next generation of industrial and academic collaborations.

- Prizes for both oral and poster presentations were awarded, with a very high standard in both sections.
