Chemistry Education & Outreach

The RSC believes chemistry education and outreach is critical in enhancing the success of the chemical sciences in the UK.  At YMS 2012, we are supporting this by dedicating a separate session to the topic. We want to emphasise the importance the important role chemical education and public engagement can have in any chemist’s career.

We welcome abstracts submitted from anyone who works in education or outreach roles, or from other chemists who have participated voluntarily in related projects.

We have two keynote speakers in the Chemistry Education and Outreach session:

•     Dr Mark Miodownik, King’s College London.
•     Tim Harrison, Bristol ChemLabS School Teacher Fellow and Outreach Director
